Ages 13–17
Privacy for Young People
This is the shorter version of our Privacy Policy. It explains what Nashex knows about you in plain language.
Effective 24 August 2026
The most important points
- Nashex is for people aged 13 or over.
- Your account, grades, assignments, and uploads are private.
- Campus Chat posts are visible to verified students in the university or course room you choose. Your university email stays hidden.
- We do not sell your information or show targeted adverts.
- We do not use precise location tracking.
- You can delete learning material and can delete your account in Settings.
- An adult must authorise and complete a Premium purchase if you are under 18.
What do we know about you?
We know the email and name you use for your account. We may also know the universities or schools, subjects, grades, and targets you choose to add. We store the notes, slides, assignments, rubrics, questions, prompts, and answers you choose to give us.
If you choose Campus Chat, we also keep the university email used to verify which community you may enter, the rooms you join, your posts, and any safety report you submit. Other students see your display name and posts, but not the university email used for verification.
We ask for your date of birth to make sure you are at least 13 and to apply the right protections. We do not keep the full date. We keep only an age band: 13–15, 16–17, or 18+. If you are under 18, we ask you to repeat the check periodically so the band stays up to date.
Why do we use it?
We use it to run your account and turn your study material into the features you request. Your answers help Nashex choose useful revision and show progress. This is learning personalisation, not advertising or an official school decision.
AI can make mistakes. Check important answers, marks, references, and advice against your original material and ask a teacher or lecturer when you are unsure.
Who helps us run Nashex?
Specialist companies help us store accounts and files, create AI responses, take payments, stop bots, send service emails, and find videos. These include Supabase, OpenAI, Stripe, Cloudflare, OpenAI Sites, Resend, and Google/YouTube. They receive only the information needed for their part of the service. The Nashex AI Checker does not use an external detection company.
We do not give your school, university, lecturer, or parent access to your study account automatically. If you actively join a private league with a code, its members can see the league information and ranking shown before you join.
Campus Chat is also optional. Only students verified for the same university can enter that university community, and you must join a course room before reading it. You can report a message privately if it is unsafe, abusive, spam, shares personal information, or encourages academic misconduct.
Your choices and rights
You can decide what optional profile information and learning material to add. You can correct information, delete material, and delete your account. You can also ask to see, correct, erase, restrict, or move your personal information, or object to certain uses.
Email nashexbusiness@gmail.com. You can contact us yourself or ask a trusted adult to help. You can also read the full Privacy Policy or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
If something feels wrong
Stop using the feature and tell a trusted adult if that feels helpful. Do not upload passwords, private messages, medical information, or confidential information about another person. Email us if you see unsafe content, think your account is being misused, or want help deleting something.
