Safe and fair use
Acceptable Use Policy
These rules protect learners, academic integrity, intellectual property, platform security, and fair access.
Effective 24 August 2026
1. You must not use Nashex to
- break a law, infringe intellectual property, breach confidence, or violate another person's privacy;
- upload material you do not own or have permission to process, including restricted exam papers or unlawfully obtained course materials;
- publish through Nashex Library any textbook, lecturer slide deck, paid resource, copied notes, personal data, or other content you do not own or have permission to distribute;
- upload sensitive information about another person, malicious code, sexual content, or content intended to harass, threaten, exploit, or harm;
- use Campus Chat to bully, arrange harm, share anyone's address, phone number, passwords or other sensitive information, spam, impersonate another student, evade a university-room restriction, or solicit dishonest assessment answers;
- cheat in a live or restricted assessment, produce work for fraudulent submission, impersonate another learner, or conceal misconduct from an institution;
- generate or distribute dangerous, discriminatory, fraudulent, or illegal instructions;
- probe or bypass security, usage limits, access controls, billing, anti-bot protection, or content restrictions;
- share accounts, automate bulk requests, scrape the service, reverse engineer it, overload it, or use output to build a competing model or service without written permission; or
- misrepresent your age, help someone under 13 create an account, or falsely claim adult authority for a Premium purchase.
2. Academic responsibility
Use Nashex to understand, practise, and improve your own work. Follow the AI, collaboration, citation, and assessment rules set by your institution. Nashex output must not be presented as your own original work where that would be misleading or prohibited.
3. Community features
Campus Chat is for useful, respectful student discussion. Remember that other verified students can read what you post in a room. Keep personal information private, report unsafe content, and do not rely on a verified university domain as proof that another user is trustworthy offline.
Library publication is voluntary and must be used for genuine student-owned study resources. Ratings must reflect meaningful use, and reports must be made honestly. Do not manipulate ratings, downloads, imports, contributor identities, or module metadata.
4. Enforcement
We may remove content, limit a feature, suspend an account, or preserve and report evidence when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or investigate a serious breach. We consider context, severity, repetition, and the risk of harm.
If you believe a restriction is mistaken, contact nashexbusiness@gmail.com from your registered account email. Serious or repeated breaches may result in permanent termination without a refund where permitted by law.
