Age Policy

1. Minimum age

You must be 13 or older to register for or use Nashex. Nashex does not offer accounts to children under 13, even with parent or guardian consent.

2. How the age check works

We ask for a date of birth at signup and when existing users accept this policy. The application calculates whether the user is 13–15, 16–17, or 18+. Nashex stores that age band and the confirmation time, but not the full date of birth. Under-18 users repeat the check periodically so their band stays accurate.

Users must enter their real date of birth. We may apply additional proportionate checks where an age is disputed or the account activity creates a safeguarding or legal concern. We keep the method under review as age-assurance technology develops.

3. Protections for users under 18

• Accounts, profiles, grades, assignments, and uploads are private by default.
• Nashex does not sell personal information, use targeted advertising, or use precise geolocation.
• A clear Privacy for Young People summary is provided alongside the full Privacy Policy.
• Learning personalisation is limited to the core educational purpose and is not used for advertising.
• An adult must authorise and complete any Premium purchase for an under-18 account.

4. Parents, guardians, and learner privacy

Parent or guardian permission is not required for a person aged 13 or over to create a Free account. However, a responsible adult must authorise and complete a Premium purchase for an under-18 user. Payment authority does not automatically give the adult access to private assignments, grades, messages, or study history.

A young person can exercise their own data-protection rights. We assess any adult request for their data carefully and verify the adult's authority and the young person's rights before disclosing information.

5. If we learn that a user is under 13

We may immediately restrict the account while we investigate. If we reasonably determine that the user is under 13, we will close the account, stop future subscription renewal, and delete active personal and study data, except records we are legally required to retain.

If you believe a person under 13 is using Nashex, email nashexbusiness@gmail.com. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate process.
